(HFHNV)
HFHNV volunteers
assist deserving, needy families in purchasing simple, decent housing in
the
Northern Virginia
area through a home construction/rehabilitation program.
Ministry Needs
Energy, enthusiasm,
interest in affordable housing, and lots of patience with construction
delays! Need individuals to coordinate activities and liaison with HFHNV
and other faith communities in
Alexandria.
Training Provided
None is needed.
Meetings and Time Required
This ministry meets
as needs required when there is a project needing volunteer construction
labor. Depending upon activity level, two to four hours per month. One
or more Saturdays a month working on a house (hammering, sawing, toting
barges, lifting bales). Habitat also needs volunteers on Wednesdays.
