Bag Lunch Program
Meal Makers and Drivers work to provide lunches for Alexandrians in
need.
Ministry needs:
Drivers must have a
car and be able to lift and carry boxes of bag lunches, otherwise, a
loving heart and desire to make a difference for the hungry. Drivers
pick up prepared lunches at
Christ
Church
at 11:15am,
take them to
Meade
Memorial
Church
and setup the line for lunch, which is served from
11:30am
to Noon.
After lunch, they pack up boxes and supplies and return to
Christ
Church.
Meal Makers make sandwiches and prepare the lunches from
9:00-10:00am.
Training provided:
Training is
provided as you work.
Meetings and time required:

churches. Time commitment within that schedule is very flexible;
volunteers may choose to work one or more days during
Christ
Church's
week, from one to eight times during the year. Drivers commit time at
the discretion of the volunteer. Meal makers generally prepare the meals
in two hour sessions once every seven weeks.
