In
this season after Epiphany, Christ Church invites you to
Come Taste and See.
Our
life together as a community has entered a middle place. Behind us are the
festivities of Christmas, the celebrations of the New Year and all of its
promises. We’ve celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany, also known as the
Manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles, rejoicing that God has become flesh
for all people. Only two months away is the time of Lent, when we will enter
into a period of self-examination.
Come,
be a part of our shared life and find how gracious the Lord is.
Taste
Christ’s presence in Holy Communion,
taste loving relationships in food at our coffee hours and fellowship
events. Taste these things and see how gracious the Lord is.
See
those who still struggle
in Alexandria and throughout the world after the generosity of the holidays
has passed. See our parish reach
out to meet those needs. See these
things and know how gracious the Lord is.
Whoever you are, and wherever you are on your journey, you are invited to be
nourished by God’s generosity.
Come
taste and see.
