Christ Church Foundation

Through prayerful and careful planning, you can do far more for Christ Church than you ever thought possible. By making a gift to the Christ Church Foundation, you have the opportunity to continue your support for Christ Church in perpetuity. The Christ Church Foundation has been established to provide a permanent endowment for the support, care, maintenance and improvement of the church's buildings and grounds, as well as to support and advance our Christian mission outside the parish.

What is the Christ Church Foundation?

The Christ Church Foundation was founded in 1979 by the vestry of the church at the request of the congregation and is administered by the trustees elected by the vestry. The Foundation's purposes, as stated in its charter are to:

• restore, support, benefit, care for and maintain the buildings and grounds of Christ Church.
• support and benefit the Christian mission of Christ Church outside its parish.
• assure the faithful execution of the specific terms of gifts made to the church.

Under the trustees' prudent management, the Foundation's funds are invested to provide an annual stream of income to the church. the Foundation's principal is never touched. Contributions to the Christ Church Foundation qualify for charitable or estate tax gift deductions.

The Articles of Incorporation of Christ Church, Alexandria, Virginia Foundation were signed on 8 June 1979 and amended on 15 June 1979.

Foundation Trustees

The vestry selects nine trustees, all members of Christ Church, each for a three year term, and eligible for re-election. The trustees manage the business of the Foundation, elect officers, and serve without compensation. The current trustees are:
