Jared Cramer was born and raised in Michigan where he did undergraduate work in Bible before moving to Abilene, Texas to pursue a Master of Divinity degree and work as a minister in the Churches of Christ. While in seminary in Texas, Jared entered the Episcopal Church and shortly thereafter the discernment process in our tradition. After finishing his M. Div., he moved to Sewanee, Tennessee to pursue a Master of Sacred Theology in Anglican Studies. Shortly after moving to Tennessee he met Bethany Switter. The two were engaged in January and were married in Christ Church Cathedral in Nashville, Tennessee, in November 2008. They have a sweet, mixed-breed dog named Cappadocian.
